Design
Use
As a sealing or finishing coat to either pumped cementitious
screeds or any type of wood floor. Sealing and coating
of the ECOSCREED range of pumpable screeds. Specifically
designed for where enhanced chemical resistance is
required and where the screed needs to be protected

screeds
- Available as a clear sealer with a silk finish
- Low odour
- Excellent resistance to water, oils, skydrol, petrol,
dilute acids and alkalis, many solvents etc
- Very good adhesion to concrete
- Hygienic and easily cleaned
Typical
Properties
Colours : Clear
Material : 100%
Polyurethane
Drying time :
2 hours at 20ºC
Substrate
Preparation
ECOSCREED PU Sealer can be applied direct to the surface
of ECOSCREED cementitious screeds 24 hours after their
application or on concrete that is hard, sound and
free from dirt, dust, oil, grease, paint, plaster,
laitance or other contaminants which could act as
a barrier to adhesion. Concrete substrates shall have
a residual moisture content of below 6% and temperatures
of 10ºC or above. Wood floors should be suitably sanded
to provide a smooth clean surface prior to application.
Remove all fine dust prior to application of the finish.
On wooded floors it is extremely important that all
previous polish and cleaning residues are removed
to ensure good adhesion and correct cosmetic appearance
of the finish. Previously waxed wooden floors will
require specialist preparation. For advice please contact
our Technical Department on 01372 842 102
Mixing
The product is a one pack system and should be thoroughly
stirred with a drill and stirrer prior to use.
Application
Apply using a suitable applicator and pad at a rate
of approximately 75 - 80m² per 5 litres
Apply a minimum of 2 coats and allow the first coat
to cure for a minimum of 2 hours at 20ºC prior to
applying the second coat.
Packaging
ECOSCREED PU Sealer is supplied in 5 litre
containers.
Coverage
Covarage is dependent upon porosity but as a general
rule a 5litre pack should cover approximately 75 -
80m²
Storage
& Shelf Life
Store in dry, frost free conditions at temperatures
between 10ºC and 25ºC. The material has a minimum
shelf life of 12 months when stored in original, unopened
containers in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

Do not apply to wet or uncured concrete surfaces
Do not apply at temperatures of below 10ºC
Health
& Safety
Avoid contact of the material with the eyes and skin.
Wear appropriate gloves, overalls and eye protection

ECOSCREED
WD 250
HIGH
PERFORMANCE WATER DISPERSIBLE EPOXY COATING
Description
ECOSCREED WD 250 is a high performance, water dispersible
epoxy coating for the treatment of floors and walls
and has been specifically designed to be compatible
with the ECOSCREED range of pumpable levelling compounds.
The coating is both user and environmentally friendly,
containing no solvents and having a very low odour
during application. It can be easily applied by brush,
roller or airless spray to provide a decorative abrasion
and chemically resistant coating of excellent durability.
Design
Use
Sealing and coating of the ECOSCREED range of pumpable
screeds where enhanced chemical resistance is required.
As a hygienic, easily cleanable coating for walls,
ceilings and floors.
Benefits
- May be applied to dry or damp surfaces
- Available in range of colours
- Low odour
- Excellent resistance to water, oils, skydrol, petrol,
dilute acids and alkalis, many solvents etc
- Very good adhesion to concrete
- Hygienic and easily cleaned
Typical
Properties
Colours : Red,
Grey (other colours available on request)
Pot Life : 80
minutes at 20ºC and 120 minutes at 10ºC
Volume Solids
: 65%
Substrate
Preparation
ECOSCREED WD 250 can be applied to surfaces that are
hard, sound and free from dirt, dust, oil, grease,
paint, plaster, laitance or other contaminants which
could act as a barrier to adhesion. Where the floor
has been contaminated by chemicals or mineral acids,
the specific advice of the ECOSCREED Technical Department
should be sought on 0836 582 033 or 01372 842 102.
The preparation of substrates by mechanical methods
such as shotblasting , scabbling or diamond grinding
are considered the most effective means of providing
a suitable mechanical key. Concrete substrates shall
have a residual moisture content of below 6% and temperatures
of 7ºC or above.
Mixing
Pour contents of the BASE component into the CURING
AGENT container and mix by mechanical means until
a uniform colour and appearance is obtained. For the
first coat the mixed material may be thinned by the
addition of up to a maximum of 5% by volume of potable
water.
Application
Apply by brush, roller or airless spray to the prepared
surface at a nominal rate of 0.20 to 0.25 kg/m²
per coat, equivalent to a dry film thickness of 100
- 125 microns. A minimum of two coats is recommended
with the second coat being applied after a minimum
interval of 18 hours curing. Ensure good ventilation
after application as this will speed up the physical
drying stage of the curing process.
Should a non-slip finish be required then a suitable
silica sand should be scattered onto the first coat
whilst it is still wet. The following day any excess
sand should be swept or vacuumed from the surface
prior to the application of the second coat.
Curing
Allow to cure for a minimum of 48 hours prior to normal
traffic. Full chemical resistance will be achieved
following 7 days cure at 20ºC
Packaging
ECOSCREED WD 250 is supplied in 15kg packs
Coverage
A 5kg pack is, depending on the smoothness of the
substrate, sufficient to treat 10 - 12.5 m² of surface
with the recommended two coat treatment giving an
overall dry film thickness of 200 - 250 microns. (15kg
pack pro rata)
Storage
& Shelf Life
Store in dry, frost free conditions at temperatures
between 10ºC and 25ºC. The material has a minimum
shelf life of 12 months when stored in original, unopened
containers in accordance with the manufacturerers
instructions.
Limitations
Do not apply to wet or uncured concrete surfaces
Do not apply at temperatures of below 6ºC
In poorly ventilated areas forced extraction must
be provided.
Health
& Safety
Avoid contact of the material with the eyes and skin.
Wear appropriate gloves, overalls and eye protection
during use. Please refer to the Material Safety Data
Sheet for additional information
